Double Bay is a harbourside eastern suburb of Sydney approximately 4 kilometres east of Sydney's central business district and is the administrative centre of the local government area of the  municipality of Woollahra, taking its name from the small, pristine Bay situated on Sydney Harbour .

Double Bay is an affluent harbour side residential suburb with wide tree- lined streets and access to a selection of the area's most elite schools in nearby suburbs of Edgecliff and Bellevue Hill.

The commercial area of Double Bay runs along New South Head Road and extends to surrounding Knox, Cross and Bay Streets.
